Support a Bit likes to work in partnership. Our scale is deliberately small, but our ambitions only reach as far as our partners and volunteers can together make real. We do not believe in working in a silo. We add, connect and strengthen what is already there.
For whom
We are looking for partnership with:
- Companies in the Rotterdam region that want to give back, offer their staff volunteer work or adopt a neighbourhood
- Funds and foundations that finance programmes in welfare, health, education or culture
- Municipalities in the Rijnmond region, particularly the municipality of Rotterdam, and bodies that deliver services in the social domain
- The COA refugee agency, status-holder programmes and welfare organisations that guide newcomers toward self-reliance
- Schools, vocational colleges and universities of applied sciences that want to host social internships or applied research with us
- Care institutions, GP practices and neighbourhood teams that encounter people who would benefit more from a neighbour than from a referral
- Faith communities and neighbourhood associations that want to think with us about their part of the city
Forms of cooperation
We are happy to think along about a form that fits what you can offer.
- Financial support — one-off, multi-year or programme-bound. We account clearly and on time.
- In-kind contributions — meeting space, materials, communications services, legal or tax advice, IT, printing, transport.
- Volunteer pool — companies that release their staff for a day or half-day per month to take part in our work.
- Knowledge exchange — we are glad to learn from others who have been doing this work longer, and we share our observations from the neighbourhood.
- Joint programmes — co-production of a neighbourhood programme, an event or a research project.
What we offer you
- Visibility — if you wish, we mention your contribution on our website, in our annual report or in communication around a specific programme. No logo walls; transparent recognition instead.
- Impact reporting — we account for what was done with your contribution. Not in inflated numbers, but in honest examples of what worked and what did not.
- Local roots — we know Rotterdam's neighbourhoods, have short lines to local organisations and know where the needs are.
- Confidentiality — if you would rather contribute anonymously, we respect that fully.
